Golf Course Geometry: Porcelain Pavers with Turf

A diagonal grid of artificial turf bands gives this Scapes, Inc. pool deck its distinctive pattern. Ark Silver 20 mm porcelain pavers form the patio, while Silver Travertine bullnose coping adds natural variation along the water’s edge.

Artificial turf bands trace a diagonal grid through this pool deck by Scapes, Inc., giving Ark Silver 20 mm porcelain pavers a distinctive geometric setting. Along the water, Silver Travertine bullnose coping introduces natural stone variation and a rounded edge. STONELUX supplied the porcelain pavers and travertine coping used in the project.

The rectangular pool anchors an outdoor space with an elevated deck, broad stairs, lounge seating, and a covered pavilion. Gray paving connects these areas, while the green turf bands give the open patio its defining pattern.

Porcelain Pavers with Artificial Turf Joints

The patio’s larger geometric panels are formed from groups of square porcelain pavers. Artificial turf outlines those groups, while narrow joints remain visible between the individual units. Set diagonally against the pool’s straight perimeter, the pattern reads as a series of diamonds from above.

The green bands continue across the open patio and stair landing, breaking the gray surface into clearly defined sections. The close-up views reveal how the individual pavers come together; the aerial photographs show how the same pattern organizes the wider outdoor space.

Silver Travertine Bullnose Coping at the Pool Edge

A continuous border of porcelain follows the pool’s shape, with Silver Travertine bullnose coping directly at the water. This gives the pool a simple outline while the wider patio carries the diagonal turf pattern.

The coping’s varied gray, cream, and warmer stone markings contrast with Ark Silver’s more consistent gray surface. Its rounded bullnose profile adds a softer detail to the rectangular pool and brings natural stone into the geometric composition.

A Connected Pool and Patio Design

Gray paving extends from the open poolside areas toward the covered pavilion, where seating and an outdoor fireplace create another place to gather. Broad deck stairs connect the upper entertaining area with the patterned patio below.

Together, the porcelain paving, artificial turf inlays, and natural stone coping give the different outdoor areas a shared palette. The project offers a clear example of how a bold patio pattern can sit alongside a quieter, continuous pool border.
